New Design Column
My first published column is now online at TheCreativeForum.com, brought to you by the graphics.com group and the publishers of STEP magazine. I’ll be contributing articles to the forum twice a month, and eventually those articles will reappear at my biz blog.
This first article examines the expectations of design graduates, vs. the realities of the working world. I was very lucky to interview Michael Bierut, senior AD at Pentagram, and Christina Hagopian, founder/proprietor of NYC-based hagopian ink.
Go read, then sign up and participate in the forums.
My editor, Steve Kapsinow, asks me to let you all know that thecreativeforum.com is experimenting with giving away some free (presumably ad-supported) blog space for artists and designers — if you’re interested, let me know and I’ll put you in touch.

Sorry, M-C, i really wanted to have you do something for this one — but I’m publishing a new one every two weeks, more or less, so plenty of chance for the next one! I’ll talk to my editor about a reasonable fee. Who knows, since they are linked to several stock image agencies, your work could sell :)
