I talk, therefore iPhone

iphone_home.pngYes, it’s the Prettiest Object Ever and we All Want One (unlocked, 3G version please…so I guess we’re really waiting for version 2.)

In the meantime, here are some random thoughts.

Questions:

  • Can you use it for data storage like regular iPods?
  • Can you make its memory partition a bootable volume?
  • Is there a dev kit for widgets and apps?
  • Does it support stereo Bluetooth headsets?

Worries:

  • How do you change the battery?
  • How durable is it?

Wishes:

  • C’mon Steve, let us develop games for it…that use the sensors…can you say WiiPhone?
  • When paired with a Mac, becomes a multi-touch graphics tablet / auxiliary display?
  • Two words: Universal Remote
  • Mobile iTunes Store

How do you change the battery?
You don’t. If you must, you hand it in to Apple. There is no way of getting in there without making your warranty void. But as with the iPod, I’m sure there are ways…

Does it support stereo BT headsets?
I would suppose. I honestly don’t believe Apple would limit us to JUST using their headset, though that does look hot…

iTunes Store
They’ll have to at some point, don’t they? But Apple say there are no plans for the moment, though…

Universal remote
Though, I don’t suppose there’s an IR port, is there?

3rd party software?
I’m guessing we’ll see the iPod games model applied here… Buy it all via Apple.

Durability
I guess the question is: Will I still be able to see the screen after half an hour of using my fingers on it?
