Enablr is #6 on Yahoo's The 9
Our web-to-realworld-services company Enablr.com got a mention on Yahoo’s The 9 videocast, specifically Stenographr, our online-form-to-snailmail service for the terminally lazy. Go check it out! (And yes, we’ll have a Transcribr transcript up soon at the Enablr blog.)

We Have Moved...
...from the home office, to the Belgo Building, and now to new offices at the edge of Mile-End and the Eastern Plateau, steps away from Avenue Mont-Royal and Lafontaine Park. And it rocks.
I'm renting a desk, so to speak, from premier print designers Black Eye Design. They recently moved out from a downtown space shared with web supremos Plank into their own, shiny new digs up here in urban bohemia.
More about that partnership later - in the meantime, please update your address books:
King Marketing, Advertising + Communications (Montreal)
1701 Rue Marie-Anne E.
Suite 1
Montreal, Quebec

My cell is also now my main business phone: 514-795-4795
And the main Black Eye number should you wish to say hi to those lovely folks: 514-940-2121.

Get Podcast Transcriptions with Enablr
A big raison d'etre of KMA+C is that we're not just another creative firm: we're the in-house marketing resource team for a future string of entrepreneurial businesses. One role is to be angel investors who trade expertise, sweat and services for equity. Another is to jump on niche markets and come out with products and services quickly and simply.
So I'm proud to say we've combined both of those aspects in our new venture, Enablr.com.
UPDATE: I'll be at the Montreal Podcasters Meetup, Tuesday Nov 29th, 7:30pm at La Cabane. My first one, go easy on me!
Enablr is a new, small company that comes up with quick, web-based solutions to simple, real-world problems. Later iterations of the service will offer better and richer services, based on customer feedback.
Our first service offering is Transcribr, a transcription service for podcasters. Powered by real human beings behind the scenes, you point us at your MP3 file, pay a flat per-minute fee, and you get back a transcript within five working days, usually less in our experience. Transcribr Pro, the next phase, will offer automated podcast feed monitoring, so you can just podcast away and have regular transcripts produced, billed to your account.
We think this is this missing key for diffusing podcasts and videocasts wider on the Net. Without text transcripts, they're invisible to search engines like Google, and inaccessible to people with visual or auditory impairments. Eventually, we're looking at ways to incorporate the transcript right into the MP3 metadata, so that it always travels with the file, like closed-captioning on a DVD.
We've already got paying customers - and our first bit of press, an interview with Ken Schaffer of OneDegree.ca.
Check out the Enablr blog for more.
Our other offering is Stenographr. Right now, it's the letter-writing solution for the terminally lazy. The next phase lets bloggers offer their writing to friends, family or subscribers in a print digest format - because, after all, even today, not everyone uses a computer!
I look forward to your comments on how we can make these services even better. We're starting Enablr from nothing - it's a new venture separate from King Marketing, essentially powered by sweat equity at the moment...so if you're interested in helping out...drop us a line!
